Whatever you have planned for your big day, making your own wedding bands is a great way to ensure that your wedding rings are truly unique and personal to you. The Lazy Dog workshop is a fully equipped studio, converted from an old stable block, making it a unique and comfortable space to work in. We always endeavour to make it a fun, relaxed and truly memorable experience. You don’t need to have any experience of metalwork or jewellery making, with full guidance, expert tuition, along with plenty of tea & biscuits, you will achieve spectacular results. Over the course of the workshop you’ll make your own, or each others rings, from sterling silver. You’ll form your rings by hand, solder them and polish them up. They are then boxed up together to be sent for hallmarking at the Edinburgh Assay office. Each workshop is exclusive to you, so you’ll have lots of time and attention to help you to make your rings. We currently offer the option to make rings in silver, yellow, or white gold, in 9ct, 14ct or 18ct. Once completed each set of rings will be hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office and delivered to you within 2-3 weeks. Workshops are priced per person for the sterling silver ring workshop. Should you wish to have your rings cast in a different metal we will provide you with a quote after a prior consultation, regarding size, design and particular choice of metal.
